Russia doesn't need Ukraine on its own, they need Ukraine to get access Poland, Romania and Moldova.

They already switched into war time production, and if they manage to get Ukraine they only need a year or two to replenish all military equipment.

People really underestimate Russia and that's the worst thing you can do to get caught pants down. If Russia senses there's a chance to succeed they will move on.

Another thing the West seems to be ignoring is that they think the war is just what is happening in Ukraine, when the majority of their operation is disinformation, subversion, and destabilization.

The popularity of far right politicians (who for some reason are friendly toward Kremlin) or BRExit shows how effective it is.

They work in terminal. To me a more interesting question would be, why VSCode over PyCharm for Python for example.

I love when FCC at least appears to do something, not like under Shit Pai.

Frankly though they should revise Title II classification for the Internet and remove exception from the requirement to share last mile to competitors. This is the main reason there's almost no competition. It doesn't make sense for every single ISP to run lines to every home. Those lines should be leaseable.

Maybe some kind of write-off that only creative accountants know about?

The irony is that the monthly insurance premiums that are paid are higher than the taxes would be.

Actually right now even democracy is considered a dirty word, they even say that US isn't democracy, but a republic (ignoring what republic is).

They already started conditioning their minions, that dictatorship isn't really all that bad.

The ironic thing is that the primary reason why communism is bad is that it normally comes together with totalitarism, and that's what they essentially arguing for.

You know what the kicker is? He got those charges for fighting to stay in that "FILTHY, DIRTY, FALLING APART, & VERY UNSAFE" city.

Honestly I'm not as principled as some people but I noticed that I drastically reduced my presence there and it's going down. I think a lot might have to do that RiF is missing (unrelated, but RIF's author made a client for tildes.net called weirdly Three Cheers) and I refuse to install their spammy app.

I love those. Another good one is listing:

  • Vietnam
  • Afghanistan
  • Iraq
  • Ukraine

And saying something, like this time it will be different.

They are purposefully hiding one tiny bit of detail thought, that Ukrainian war was started be is being committed by Russia.

Plus they have some code that allows them to interfere with the picture. The part that drawn spez under a guillotine received a checkerboard and also constantly had random pixels showing up.

Anyone who thinks they are protesting by it are fooling themselves.

Also if somebody was truly worrying reddit they likely removed their account. Asking to contributing is asking to create account back on the site we wanted to leave.

You know admins can easily remove anything drawn there. They are trying to bring traffic back, because of the upcoming IPO.

Exactly, their "crime" was just sending custom can to an influencer hoping she would promote it to their fan base. It's not like they create a special team's batch or something.

Anyway when this unexpectedly backfired they refused to back her up when she started getting hate mail, which also turned back her fans and right now everyone is bad at them.
