1. Sea states have been historically bad on the west coast this winter preventing us from efficiently returning boosters and fairings over Ro-Ro barge to Vandenberg. We can go over the road but it requires removing legs/fins to enable highway transport and is generally very inefficient. December - February are usually the worst months of the year for Ro-Ro offload at the Vandy Harbor so we should be through the worst of it.

2. While we are recovering fairings at a high rate, refurb hours increased due to the wind/sea conditions in the winter. Fleet health is improving rapidly though as we inject new fairings and speed up refurb of flown ones.

3. Booster recovery, by design, has less fault tolerance than the ascent part of the mission. The issue on 1080 recovery gave us a chance to learn and improve the reliability of the entire fleet hence the stand down over the past week.

4. As much as we love launching rockets, nothing is more important than safety and reliability. We have stood done multiple times simply to double and triple check the everything even if we could have flown that day. We put even more scrutiny on critical govt and customer missions.

Lastly, we purposely stacked the first quarter of the year to get ahead on our goal (170) for this exact reason and we absolutely can still hit the launch goal. Challenges are to be expected and the team is fully focused on keeping reliability and safety at the top of the list. I love how we feel that we had a tough February when we only launched 12 times 😂😂😂

In a 28 February POLSA update, the agency confirmed that the information regarding the uncontrolled re-entry of the Falcon 9 second stage had been sent to the wrong email addresses at the Ministry of National Defence.

Further compounding the crisis, the Polish Space Agency was hacked on 2 March, forcing it to “immediately disconnect from the Internet.”

“A cybersecurity incident has occurred at POLSA. The relevant authorities and institutions have been informed,” POLSA explained in response to European Spaceflight questioning. “An analysis of the situation is currently underway. To secure the data after the breach, POLSA’s network was immediately disconnected from the Internet. We will keep you updated.”

The POLSA systems were officially restored on 5 March “in cooperation with the services and institutions responsible for cybersecurity.”

On 11 March, the Minister of Development and Technology announced that POLSA President Grzegorz Wrochna had been officially dismissed. The statement did not include any information about his replacement.

I've noticed several Redditors over in r/Lemmy and r/LemmyMigration who are experiencing issues with email verification on signup.

Examples:

• I can't verify my email because the page doesn't give me a button to do so. The link from my email just takes me to a blank page
• Unable to log in, got verification email, but go to log in and get a "bad password" message. Not getting password reset emails either. Junk/spam folders have nothing.
• Email never showed
• Can't reset password
• Can't register

I see several people in helping out as best they can in the comments, but I think it would probably be better if the relevant instance admins could reach out directly.

What is the best way to do this?

In order to maximize the number of users who join Lemmy, I think it is important that we streamline the sign-up process as much as possible. It would be unfortunate to miss out on potential users due to email issues.
