To each their own haha. The 2009 movie was the first ST movie I ever saw and I was not a fan.

FWIW, I mostly enjoy TOS, TNG and DS9. Not a star wars fan at all. To me the movie felt too much like star wars. It wasn't dry enough and didn't feel anything like a televised stage play lmao.

Yeah I ran fedora for a while when I first got this since that's one of the official distros but it seems like it would really just be a function of the kernel itself and the laptop firmware.

Going back to fedora does not enable deep sleep by default and I'm way too afraid to manually switch it again after having to pull the battery 5 times already in pursuit of a solution.

I've been told this just doesn't/can't work.

So basically unless someone can say "I experienced the same exact problem and here's how I fixed it" I'm just too afraid to try again haha.

Framework advises not to pull the battery and they are not wrong in that advisement. It's sketchy as hell.

When I enable deep sleep it prevents me from even accessing bios, so I can't do the firmware battery disconnect at that point.

AUR is super cool (when it's not getting DDOSed).

Building packages from scratch isn't that hard usually but it can be and AUR really does simplify that.

Ultimately the stakeholders make the final call that's always how it goes in the real world.

If they get some idea that people are "stealing pictures" from the site this is what they will want. They didn't reason themselves into that position a Dev can't reason them out.

I've actually had stakeholders say we shouldn't use JavaScript because people can see and steal our code by opening dev tools. Thankfully that was shot down but this is totally real.

I haven't seen every Star Trek movie but the ones I've seen have been pretty bad.

I'm here for the philosophy and the diplomacy, the movies always feel like they are made for a different audience.
