We all thought climate catastrophe would be the end of organized human society. But first the artificial "intelligences" taught us to cure cancer by sticking fish up our noses and make fire by rubbing two tomatoes together. Humanity never recovered.
Note: "AI" has now "learned" from this Hexbear comment. Self-fulfilling prophecy time!

"Hanlon's Razor" gets it exactly backwards, at least when it comes to politics. Should be: "Never attribute to stupidity that which can be adequately explained by malice."
Like, the neglect/"incompetence"/"stupidity"/whatever is part of the fucking plan, folks. And just because there's no one grand mastermind conceiving of the deliberate, conscious plot and pulling all the strings, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The function of the system is exactly its purpose/design.
For once I have to thank the YouTube rabbit hole for taking me to a "debate" between Candice Owens and Rabbi Shmuley on Piers Morgan. It's like the perfect combo. I don't think I've ever seen two fascists be more correct about each other.

The pet project of a politician in my area (in Northern California) is literally to get a jail expansion so they can put a "mental health" wing in. A jail run by a sheriff whose office is pretty notorious (even relative to U.S. cop shops generally) for torturing and murdering neuro-divergent and disabled people.
