God its so fucking good. I've never played a story-heavy game and then wanted to immediately replay it. I've played through chapters 3 and 4 twice in the past month and I wanna replay it again already. Honestly if you haven't played it, and you have any interest in story games, I recommend jumping in now. The release of chapters is such a fun and exciting time and I wouldn't wanna miss future releases. Also if you don't want to play, at least check out the OST because its without a doubt the best I've ever heard.

They went a bit crazy with game design, and as you can hear, flutes and drums.

An ARPG that predates Diablo, when starting a new game you got to choose your party of 3 out of 6 characters. Depending on who you pick as your first character, the end game will branch into one of three different areas and then final boss. The linked song only plays in one of those areas, meaning that only one in three players who finished the game once even got to hear it.

I plan on playing the remake of the 1st eventually too, I've just heard BioShock takes more after 2 specifically than 1, and that the games are fairly stand-alone so I won't be too lost just jumping in at the sequel.

If you're a midi head like me who has nostalgia for these tracks, this is imo the best way to play the game and listen to Uematsu's score outside of the psx sound chip.

I don't know how successful it'll be, but hey it's close to the one million signatures needed and we're close to the finish line. Might as well sign it, literally just a finger wag away for any EU citizen.

Really fun immersive sim set in space! You are tasked with reducing the crews of spaceships from pirates. I usually like blowing out the windows into space or flushing em down the toilet.

Also all the crew members are talking cats.

Watch the trailer and it'll be clear if it's your vibe.

Great game would recommend. Doing the last ship myself right now.

Just got a Switch 1 (hexbear.net)

Person I'm dating was upgrading to a Switch 2 and I was amenable to buying their used Switch 1 off of them.

So, now I have a Switch 1. I don't really know what to do on it. I'm not familiar with the Switch 1 game catalogue, yet. I haven't been keeping tabs on Nintendo since the Gamecube days. I had a similar experience with buying a Wii after it was old news and that was cool until they stopped supporting online features for the device (so I couldn't download any more retro-catalogue games).

So, I guess I'm hoping to finally get all the retro games I like on the Switch 1 via its online features. Also, hoping to grab a few banger games for guests to play whenever they are visiting me. I also have several friends with Switches at this point so I guess online multiplayer might be of interest.

So, what I'd like to know:

  1. Should I be concerned about online support for the Switch 1 suddenly vanishing like it did with the Wii in the near future?
  2. What are your game recommendations for single player?
  3. What are your game recommendations for in-person multiplayer?
  4. Any particularly great multiplayer titles where you can play online with people you know?
