Edit:

The original title of my post was

"Anyone know what these little shards would be I found in my can I got from 2 Crows Brewery?"

and the text below said

"I'm not sure if it's glass or some kind of settlement that accumulated at the bottom.

It is rather hard. I can't crush it easily with my fingers and it doesn't feel sharp enough to cut me. It has a pink colour to it."

but I contacted 2 Crows and they got back to me really quick.

They are wine crystals!

https://www.decanter.com/learn/advice/tartrate-crystals-in-wine-346248/

I had never heard of them before.

I edited the title because I don't want people to be concerned. I love 2 Crows.

I know you can get canned escargot at Sobeys but I am talking about the real weird stuff. Canned cheeseburgers, full chickens, and bread.

I'd be fine ordering it online as well as long as I am not paying absurd amounts for shipping.

I'm trying to move away from buying so many things online instead of supporting local. What are some local businesses you folks suggest? Where have you had a great customer experience in the HRM?

Restaurants suggestions and that sort of thing are welcome as well, but I'm mostly interested in finding local alternatives to online stores like Amazon and big chain stores like Walmart.

Handheld emulators and console modding are something I have been really into for years and I wanted to create a community for it to make friends and share my skills and resources.

I thought it would be nice to have a place where we could trade and try out each others devices. For example see if the RG35XX is right size for you or how the RG350M feels compared to the RG405M.

Maybe you just need a tri-wing screwdriver or a Xbox 360 slim shim to open up your device? Someone could lend it to you so you aren't waiting a month for a $5 part from Ali Express.

It could also be a good place to find people to game with over RetroArch's Netplay or XLinkKai's remote LAN.

Originally I tried creating a Matrix server for this and advertised it on Reddit but it seems like people weren't willing to join a new platform for it so I settled on Discord to be a little more accessible. Eventually I might put in the effort to add bridges from Matrix to the Discord server if there is some interest.

If you are into SBC gaming or just emulation in general I'd love for you to stop by.

Here is the invite link to the Discord server: https://discord.gg/yE6HgfcmRW

By the way I am doing a giveaway of my TRIMUI/Powkiddy A66 to get things started. Just stop by the Emulation and Emulation Handhelds room.

In my area we have had excellent and consistent service from NS power up until last years hurricane. Yet here we are a year later with winds far less than last year and power is out. But this has been consistent for months. Small storms and bang power gone. How does ns power keep justifying price increases when then apparently have no intention of actually fixing things and making them better? Maybe Mr. CEO and other managers shouldnโ€™t be getting any bonuses and investors should not be getting payouts. Privatization is such a scam.

As of today it looks like we're going to get hit by Lee. Batten down the hatches everyone!

I guess it was bound to happen. Hopefully this will be good for a smaller venues though, as people such as myself who do not want to associate with Ticketmaster will choose events at any other venue over the Scotiabank Center now.

I'm blatantly borrowing an idea I saw in the Montreal community...

Would anyone be interested in a virtual book club featuring books set in Halifax, or perhaps the Maritimes more broadly? A thread could be opened and run for a set time (maybe a month), after which a new book would be chosen.

A couple of possibilities off the top of my head. Both are available through HPL and the Libby app.

If a few folks are interested, I would be happy to facilitate the first thread and come up with some discussion questions. ๐Ÿ˜„

I'd like to buy plexiglass for a kids play house but I would like to buys things locally rather than on Amazon if possible. It would be nice if I can get it precut in 16x16 squares but I can cut it myself if I have to. Does anyone know a good place to go? Thanks

While "fix everything" is a bit ambitious, this seems like a step in the right direction. I'm not sure I trust our current council to work toward such a plan with any sort of urgency, considering the numerous delays on something as basic as tap-to-pay transit... but shoot for the moon, I guess.

What do you think?
