A large-scale, coordinated Automaton offensive has launched without warning.

Forward orbital observation posts confirm the rebuilt Jet Brigade is the vanguard of this assault. Unconfirmed reports indicate these formidable adversaries may exhibit new capabilities.

Helldivers: deploy to all systems under attack. Counter the offensive. Defend all affected planets, and prevent further territorial losses. Engage this high-risk threat with maximum aggression. Assess and neutralize any and all new tactical augmentations.

In an assault undoubtedly intended to deny our citizens the reconstruction of their destroyed homes, this unprovoked assault further evidences the enemy’s hardwired cowardice. It is a testament to their reliance on socialist deceit, rather than the true and righteous martial strength found only in a free and volunteer fighting force.

The intelligence gathered from these first encounters will be critical, and will ensure the Helldivers contain and punish this incursion with corresponding tenacity.

I don't get why the events for this game consistently peak before the weekend ever hits. The only time we're ever waiting for orders is the weekend.

Interestingly, around 2.5M played weekly before the event, so only a gain of ~900k players. I’d be curious if the number of missions per player changed at all.
