Wasn’t there a plot point around the avalanche guys not having tickets or something ? It’s been 20 years since I played it but I thought there was something like that
Jessie made fake ID badges that she thought would fool external scanners but they failed.
iirc you needed security clearance to take the train to restricted areas like the reactors, don't remember cloud and co. having to buy tickets.
I think it was more like you need a valid ID to take the train up to the plate period. The train seems to mostly be there to funnel cheap labor and consumer money upward while the ID system is meant to keep the system's ugliness contained in the slums
