Everything to do with the USA's own Imperial Backyard. From hispanics to the originary peoples of the americas to the diasporas, South America to Central America, to the Caribbean to North America (yes, we're also there).

Post memes, art, articles, questions, anything you'd like as long as it's about Latin America. Try to tag your posts with the language used, check the tags used above for reference (and don't forget to put some lime and salt to it).

Here's a handy resource to understand some of the many, many colloquialisms we like to use across the region.

"But what about that latin american kid I've met in college who said that all the left has ever done in latin america has been bad?"

That's it, I'm taking up my friend's offer to come live in Brazil just so I can ethically own an outdoor cat.

(This is only partly joking it's something I am legit considering for plenty other reasons but crashing at their apartment on the beach in Sao Paulo is pretty damn enticing)

If you're talking about the city, São Paulo dosen't have beaches, but Santos have and is pretty close

I may have misspoke a bit I believe they live in Sao Paulo but also someone in their family has an apartment on the coast I could move into
