That is the exact opposite from my experience. Winodws has always been unstable, slow, and requires rebooting and reinstalling often. Linux is none of those things.
The worst errors on Linux that I had in recent times is due to OOM and disk failures causing Linux not to boot. Still haven't faced any catastrophic errors due to Linux itself. Updates have been running smooth for several years now.
