-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Can you explain, why do you say infanticide? I'd have thought murder but want to understand.
Sure. A lot of the anti-trans legislation specifically targets minors by banning puberty blockers and HRT for people under 18, forcing students to use the bathroom matching their AGAB in schools, forcing teachers to out trans students to their parents etc. The US in particular has a sizeable conversion "therapy" industry that largely targets minors. Trans kids are also much more at the mercy of their parents supporting them in their social and / or medical transition. If you live alone or with your parents makes a massive difference in your questioning phase. It's a lot harder to figure yourself out when putting on makeup and a skirt (or a binder and a packer when you're transmasc) means you can't leave your room like that because then your parents may see you. Buying these items in the first place may be impossible for many teens, at least without their parents noticing. An adult can usually go no contact with their transphobic parents without being materially ruined by it. A trans kid going no contact usually means they end up homeless. And on top of that, these kids are already aware of being trans at the precise point in their life when their body, if untreated, is changing in drastic ways that cause them massive dysphoria. If they do not have access to blockers or HRT, they consciously have to go through the wrong puberty and see what that does to their body. The pressure on trans kids is just much higher than the pressure on trans adults. Trans youth are an extremely vulnerable population, they just lack a lot of the ressources that people transitioning at a later age have while being in a much more precarious social and psychological situation. Being a teenager is hard enough as it is, but being a trans teenager with an unsupportive home and school environment leaves you little to no room to escape.
And the numbers from that stufy reflect that. The 72% increase in suicides is specifically for people aged 13-17. It is nowhere near that high in any other age group. And that's due to the factors outlined above. These laws and this social climate disproportionally kill children.
Ah okay, I see and understand. I am very aware of the issues trans youth face and I weep for them. I hadn't heard the word infanticide used to talk about children in general before, thank you for explaining.
