The best way to de-escalate a situation that could blow up into a regional war is... uh... Assassinating the leader of one of the main belligerents and then doing a ground invasion. Yes.
Their form of going to the table over Gaza involved assassinating one of the negotiators so this isn't out of character for their insane thought processes
honestly netanyahu made an explicit declaration of intent to ethnically cleanse north gaza; and this may well be both international and logistical cover to bring heavy equipment to the north of gaza and carry that out. They are now in a 2^1/2^-front war and may well have triggered WW3 but nobody ever claimed the zionists were well-grounded in their decisionmaking.
