Going by official portraits, Benjamin Harrison.
I thought it was Garfield but it looks like you're right.
Garfield was the last of a long line of beards. Then we get two without (Chester A. Arthur's mutton chops don't count). And then Harrison brings it back one last time before it disappears forever. That's 131 years since facial hair!
Fifty points to anyone who can find a picture of a president sporting a beard after 1893.
Do pre-presidency photos count? There's that infamous picture of Bill and Hillary from the 1970s looking like a pair of nerds.
