I never actually played modded FTL. I didn't know where to begin or how much of a pain it would be to start.
Just look up FTL multiverse. They have an install wizard now. Installing it before they launched the wizard was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had with modding. Even my computer programming bestie had issues with it.
I looked it up. I saw a veritable wall of options and patch builds here:

Weird, idk what that's about. If you just look up subset games Multiverse you should be able to find it easily enough though.
I highly recommend it, there's like 18 pages of ships to unlock with most of them having A B and C variants like vanilla.
