Literally everyone in my family thinks it was Muslims. I want to give up, people lack any fucking critical thinking skills :( I'm scared of saying anything because my mother is good friends with an Zionist who never even lived a long time in ISSrael... I'm afraid they'd say I'm anti-Jewish because of disagreeing with them.

I've heard from some chatter from some dutch LIBs I don't normally like who are pissed about how the media is covering this and know the truth.

We're gonna have to just stop caring about being called "anti-Semitic". The word has lost all fucking meaning.

I don’t disagree but it’s really scary that Israel has pushed things to that point. Like I’m sorry, how long before the Star of David is considered a hate symbol no different from the swastika? Because if they keep spray painting it on the homes of innocent people they’ve destroyed it won’t be long.

It might be time for another struggle session about the Star of David and the sensitivity with treating it the same way we treat other nationalist symbols. The star was not a religious symbol in Judaism and really wasn’t very prominent in Jewish culture until the 19th century. The rise of its use coincided directly with the rise of the concept of Jewish ethno-nationilsm aka Zionism.

Was the use of it by Nazis with armbands marking who was Jewish the beginning of the prevalence?

Unfortunately, I'm linking to NATOpedia for the second time today ( LIB ):

But as for the beginning of its prevalence:
