Lol, gonna start doing this on all my exams. Can you distribute all the points I get above a passing grade to everyone who didn't pass?
I don't understand bonus points? What is the purpose and why are they not ordinary points?
i once had a professor give out bonus points for going to his church open mic night and watching him perform
he also gave bonus points if you doodled on the back of your paper
(college class btw)
bonus points: it was a class on the u.s. government.
deep down he knew he was teaching lies
Bonus credit is just a flat bonus to your grade, they just bump up your grade.
When I used to do bonus points, they would be awarded as a percentage of the marks you didn't earn on the rest of the assessment.
Eg, you earn 80 out of 100 marks on the main questions, you could earn 10% of the remaining 20 marks from a bonus question.
I liked it as a system as it disproportionately rewarded worse performing students who maybe had trouble with the main material but could offer some insights on the more conceptual bonus questions.
