The Lebanon ceasefire agreement requires Israeli troops to withdraw from south Lebanon and Lebanon's army to deploy in the region, officials say. Hezbollah would end its armed presence along the border south of the Litani River.

Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib said the Lebanese army would be ready to have at least 5,000 troops deployed in southern Lebanon as Israeli troops withdraw, and that the United States could play a role in rebuilding infrastructure destroyed by Israeli strikes.

Israel demands effective U.N. enforcement of an eventual ceasefire with Lebanon and will show "zero tolerance" toward any infraction, Defence Minister Israel Katz said on Tuesday.

And in the meantime Palistinians in gaza will continue to starve to death and excursions into the west Bank will continue to escalate. I wish Iran would take a more active role.

Every day I hope a covert Iranian kill team does the fucking needful on these war criminals.

While it seems like if all of the anti-Israel / US nations in the area would just coordinate and go all in it would be the quickest way to save the most Palestinian lives, at the same time Israel has nukes and is run by insane people. Any modern wars short of nuclear conflict are essentially wars of attrition, and Israel's overreach is leading to it's demise. Escalating with attacks from other nations gives Israeli more cover to justify their actions as self-defense, which goes a long way in propping up the narrative they and their allies continue to use to side step the "allegations" of the obvious war crimes and genocide they are committing. To be honest, Israeli is in a tight situation because they rely heavily on recruiting Jews from other places to voluntarily move there, and with their economy in shambles and ongoing troubles from all sides, many people are leaving Israel and few are deciding now is a good time to move there. I'm afraid to think that they will ramp up the genocide and try to beat the clock of eliminating all Palestinians before their economy and nation are irreparably harmed, but I also think they could already be there even if the reality hasn't set in yet. Hezbollah getting a few days or weeks to re-consolidate for the inevitable next round is a good thing, and surely the attacks from Israel will radicalize more people to join the resistance against them for the next wave. I don't know if the same can be said about Israeli, where troops are actually refusing to go fight and the world is turning against them.
