Iraq has an extremely minor role in political discourse and the media. After the Iraq War, that's strange. I only see it pop up in headlines where they're doing something anti-imperialist. What the hell is up with the politics of Iraq since the war ended? What is the status of US military presence? Is the government super corrupt compradors or just suppressed by the US? How "real" is the Iraqi state throughout the country on the ground?

Where can I get a good understanding of this stuff?

@LargePenis@hexbear.net said he is visiting Iraq soon, so maybe he has some ideas for which news agencies and political analysts are reliable.
