I haven't read a single thing about it so grain of salt. I literally have nothing beyond your comment.
If he decided to do that after Trump's election... He clearly didn't believe Trump would fix things. He clearly considered trump part of the problem not part of the solution.
Again based entirely and only on what you said. I've been to busy to read about it personally.
It sounds like he was not "pro-trump" based on what you said.
That might be your read, but it's not correct. This guy does not rationalize things the same way you would. Here are all the parts of his statement that should convince you.

I think I admitted very clearly I had no idea what I was talking about.
Why a Tesla? Why in front of trumps building? Why after he won?
I don't know. I guess crazy people do crazy things. Doesn't make too much sense to me tho
He's a giant fan of both so I don't have a good, rational reason.
This is the only one I feel like I have part of the answer to. He and his wife had a fight the day after Christmas about his infidelity. It looks like he decided to off himself and would have done the same thing had Biden won.
