I was looking up e-scooters and a bunch of 1-star reviews pointed out how their battery caught fire.

Could have been fake reviews by competitors but either way, it freaked me out.

I love it.

All the other comments had guns sex and drugs.

Your story had mySQL.

Mad lad.

For some reason I envisioned FBI dudes in body armor bursting in and pointing their rifles at a poor server rack in the closet.

I hate weak leaders who feel sad when they get personal attacks

Google has a culture that rewards brand new ideas. Everyone at Google wants to be on the cutting edge of something new, and if your job was to maintain something, that was a demotion/missed opportunity.

Things die at Google so frequently because why should an engineer shoot themselves in the foot by provide support?

I would have agreed with you seven years ago.

But how the whole Curiosity Cube BS, how he handled the reward to the winner and its followup game just came off slimy.

Molyneux's Cube game was peak gameplay.

I'm glad he's into NFTs and crypto and willing to push us into the future of gaming.

I kinda hate all of this "political entertainment".

But it brings me joy that it really pisses off Cheeto.

I really hope we are at the peak of this type of politics and in the 2030s-2040s, people finally say it's enough and stop the 24/7 political news and go back to boring ass politics without the celebs/guest stars/fireworks.

And this is why tying healthcare to employment is stupid.

Didn't he admit to having some sort of brain damage or mental issue?

Not saying that is a problem in general, but more that he's completely unhinged.

That reminds me, I got a very threatening email from my college in 2000s about downloading movies and that they traced the IP to my laptop, and I could be paying $10k in fines, have this on my permanent record and/or expelled.

I loled and pirated a lot more safer.

Still waiting for them to follow up with that 20 years later.

Ever since red and processed meat was linked to an increased risk of cancer a decade ago, people have been advised to limit their daily consumption of these to a maximum of 70g. But while the “five a day” fruit and vegetables campaign turns 21 this year, and warnings about excess sugar abound, other government guidelines on food remain vague. While they specify two weekly portions of fish, one of which should be oily, about meat they say only “eat some”. There are no recommendations as to how much white meat should be consumed.

This is unhelpful, but also revealing. The national food strategy, commissioned by ministers in 2021, warned that a significant section of the public feel strongly about meat-based meals. Drawing on research with a focus group, its authors observed that there is “something culturally sacred” about staples such as a plate of bangers and the Sunday roast. For this reason, the strategy rejected the idea of a meat tax as a means of incentivising lower-carbon diets, on the grounds of its likely unpopularity. But meat-eating has gone down all the same. In 2022, people in the UK ate less meat at home than at any time since records began in the 1970s – and 14% less than in 2012. Part of this decline is due to cost of living pressures, and proof of the difficulties that households face in affording food bills. But this is not the whole story, since richer households have cut back as well as poorer ones, and veganism has gained in popularity.

According to police, officers were investigating Ridder on an unrelated matter when they found evidence of child pornography on a device belonging to Ridder.

His home and other devices were also searched.

When Sheriff Gerald Sticker was made aware of the allegations, he said he placed Ridder on administrative leave and made him surrender his department uniforms, gear, and car.

A waitress then approaches to serve up their food, but as she places it on the table, the man leans over and smashes an empty plate in her face.

She quickly steps back and walks away as the man shouts after her.

She claimed: "The police were present at the time, I reported it to them, and they let him go without taking his details or checking the CCTV.

"I filed a complaint against the officers and their supervisor got back to me and essentially said 'they’re humans and made a mistake'."

The sheriff’s office confirmed that Lujan deployed a Taser once Thompson had entered the interstate. According to the lawsuit, Lujan was standing on the shoulder of the highway when he deployed the Taser.

Body camera footage shows Thompson becoming incapacitated after being stunned and collapsing on the ground. Lujan notices the oncoming traffic and utters some profanity before moving to the side of the highway, according to the lawsuit.

“Deputy Lujan did not attempt to move Mr. Thompson to a place of safety so that he would not be run over,” said the attorneys in the lawsuit.

Brent was then hit by a passing car. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Running out of reality to blame, they got to make stories.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County Sheriff’s deputies accused of using a cat as target practice have been disciplined and they’re back at work.

The incident happened at the Hart Park training facility back in March.

A woman walking in the park said she saw the deputies shoot a cat and kill it.

This case is completed. The allegations were sustained. The officers involved were appropriately disciplined. I met with animal rights groups; they’re content with what we’re doing,” Youngblood said on 17 News at Sunrise. “They’re back to work, but they’ve been disciplined and that’s about all I can tell you without violating the peace officer bill of rights.”
