China's official newspaper: People's Daily.

I know China's a big place, and there might be a lot of headlines about mutual aid for disaster survivors. I'm just amazed that I've seen so many earthquake related headlines on the site.

"The frequency of earthquakes in each province of China from 2012 to 2021"

as sulvor says the himalayas make earthquakes happen but also the media covers it more. in the US we do a headline for a natural disaster, asheville and other towns were washed away in that storm a couple months ago... when was the last national headline on the damage/relief from Helene? People's Daily will talk about the same earthquake for weeks through the whole process

fwiw western state media coming from government departments will also talk about what they're doing in detail like this, say if you go to FEMA's website... but they aren't given spots on national media like NPR cause that's too focused on imitating corporate media and propagandizing.
