Hi there! Serious question. Why are you doing this? I have no problem with it; just curious.
If anyone has vision impairment or otherwise can't view the image, then they can still participate in the discussion about it.
Visually impaired users benefit from transcription of an image's contents, especially when that image does not have corresponding alt-text for their tooling to narrate for them.
