So he got what he wanted? Plan worked I guess. Mexico and Colombia folded. Will Canada be next one?
What were people expecting? Let's compare numbers here. So according to various US dot GOV websites (you can google and get the numbers) I have obtain some numbers and round off for simple comparison.
Mexico exports about $490 billion or nearly 80% of their goods the the US.
In the meantime the US export about $360 billion or about <13% of total US exports (based on $3 trillion total export).
Obviously they would fold. Do you know how many south american countries would love to step into Mexico's place?
I don’t know what the end game is but propping up Canada for a fight they can't win is not the answer, they have numbers the same as Mexico (77% export volume to US making up 12% of total US imports).
Up to you to make your own conjecture.
EDIT: Apparently Canada folded as well.
Canada didn't fold, the us did. Where on earth did you get the impression that Canada folded?
