I love the idea but I think the categories can be improved.
The four axes are future tech, all-powerful government, everyone defending the system and actively participating, and street violence.
I also didn't realize until I did this that this 4-way Venn diagram is incomplete. It's not able to represent the 2-way combinations from opposite sides:

I was going to say I see no rhyme or reason in the original. I like yours.
I am inordinately pleased and proud of myself for how well the different categories work out, for particular works being blended combinations of elemental individual works. 😃
You really need to keep Brave New World in there.
It's in there. It's one of the nigh-unreadable ones, tech + powerful dystopian government + people generally loving and supporting the system.
This is going to be fun isn’t it?
