The only way the US would "plunge" into disorder, is if people decided to do that. Regardless of the vibe that Lemmy likes to put out there, most people are not into protesting and creating drama and fucking shit up.

Most people don't wanna look up from PokemonGo long enough to protest anything. Lemmy is living in a fantasy land. lol

If social security checks stop, people will flip. That’s not just something that impacts the people getting those checks - but also the doctors, landlords, hell the fucking goodwills all the little old ladies on pensions are rummaging through.
