Christians have a very very inconsistent relationship with celibacy. Especially the recent more “ethno-national” types. They hold up crusading knights who forsake all lusts and nuns who dont look at no man so she could not be corrupted by them as icons but in the same vein, think celibacy and chastity as effeminate, selfish and weak.

yeah the other day was reviewing the virtues as they stand today and it seems chastity is pretty downgraded

the four cardinal virtues still hold up. raised catholic so i always subconsciously followed them even if it was fighting my own nature in things

Especially that the roots of celibacy are so blatantly economical, it was all about concentrating wealth in church.

And don't ever ask them about eunuchs.
