I do mean stuff like removed scenes from international airings, replacing objects like cigarettes or vine with any other objects.

I am afraid to ask, but... wine carton?

in OP, alwo cheap wine is sold in cartons in France or Italy

America does have boxed wine (just a bag of shitty wine in a cardboard box). But yeah, it's probably a wine bottle.

shitty wine

I don't know if this is the case in the US but at least in Finland they do that to just normal wines too. Lasts longer and it is a handy container.

Maybe there's better out there. I'm not generally a wine fan to start and boxed wine in college was a cheap not beer or vodka option.

Cheap boxed wine is definitely common and cheapest per liter ones often come in a box. So the perception might come from that. And it's not as fancy when it's not in a bottle.

You mean a shitty bag of wine? You can get good wines in carton, and it's more environmentally friendly.

I have a brand I like which comes in both carton and glass. Glass tastes a bit better, but not by much, and since the carton is ~30% cheaper by volume, and can be open for 4 weeks, I'll easily get the shitty bag of wine 🤓

I was worried that nobody had made the joke yet
