Is ramen (Tonkotsu) typically super thick and fatty? I can finish a bowl of PHO easily, but I struggle to finish half a ramen bowl. Tonkotsu ramen is absolutely a heavy, heavy ramen broth. There are a lot of hearty, umami, salty broths for Japanese ramen, but tonkotsu is certainly one of the densest in that way.
