To be clear: that was sarcastic (before I get lynched by an angry mob).
Tbf, even if they are dead, if fraud is happening, someone is collecting their checks.
And to be even fairer, the amount one person could be collecting is likely in the hundred, maybe low thousands.
This is like the IRS going after low income tax returns for claiming the earned income tax credit.
The investigation alone is going to cost several times more than the actual crime.
But then again, this isn't about fraud.
Also... You have to hide a body for this to work. Seems like a high bar to clear
