In true Easter Egg Hunt fashion, one egg was not recovered until someone's grandchild randomly found it a day later.

Thought you were joking

"The suspect posted four photos on Facebook showing each location as hints to locate the eggs," the release said. "He also posted a photo of five plastic eggs in the seat of a vehicle. Officers found four eggs and believed he had not placed the fifth."

Officers learned they were incorrect in their assumption when a man and his granddaughter turned the final egg into the department the next day, having also found it in a park, per the release. In total, officers said they recovered over a quarter of an ounce of marijuana

over a quarter of an ounce of marijuana

So like $100-200 worth of weed? Unless it was like shake or something.

In Northern California you can get a crappy ounce for $50, a good one for $100

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 18 hours ago

Used to be cheaper precovid, good one for 80$, depends on the strain tho, the common easy to grow ones were like 70-80 and good

I don’t remember seeing indoor at those prices, only outdoor. Honestly for how bad inflation has been weed prices have gone up relatively less imo.

[–] AnarchistArtificer@slrpnk.net 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Damn, that's cheap. In my part of the UK, $80 would get you a quarter ounce of what my peers consider to be decent, but would probably be crappy by California standards.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 hours ago

Do keep in mind that if you go the legal route in California there’s another 50% or so of tax tacked onto the price. But then you get to use websites with pictures and test data instead of all the dealer nonsense.

[–] Confused_Emus@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 21 hours ago

Much less than that. I get an ounce for $100 from my dealer. And he’s competing with dispensaries, so it’s not shake, either.

[–] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 21 hours ago

A quarter oz is $40-$70 at dispensaries in my area (medical legal state)

Paint greased pigs with the numbers 1,2 and 4. Release said pigs. Watch the hilarity ensue.
