Then don't use the label? The point of a diagnostic tool is to help the diagnosed adjust. If you don't want to use the label, the who is stopping you from not using it? I don't get the issue.

A label that varies that much only causes people to never get the assistance they actually need. That's the issue. So many children are never given the chance to thrive and have fulfilling adult lives.

Also it's a dangerously believable scapegoat. So many people will assume a child smears feces and pees themselves because they're On A Spectrum and not because they're being raped at home. And then the child never gets help for the trauma, and the rapists get away. I may or may not be speaking from experience.

... I'll be real with you, dude... I think you should talk to a therapist. Just let them know about everything you've said here, and they'll be a much better help than I will.

At this point as much as I bitch about it I don't even care about what happened to me.

I just don't want it to happen to anyone else. And getting rid of a disorder label that only serves as a scapegoat and an excuse to give up on a child is the first step to saving anyone else from experiencing what I experienced and saw.
