I'm legitimately concerned there's a threshold for too many microplastics in the environment and that once we pass it life will become unsustainable.

But for a glorious moment in time there were mountains of funko pops and wrappers for packages that contained 3 small cookies in landfills.

maybe human life, but bacteria are already appearing that can digest various kinds of plastics if they cant find better food. nature is healing.

I don't think ending life in earth is that easy, besides it would just incentive lifeforms that can break down plastic over time. It might become unsustainable for humanity however.
