Really? Will the US be independent manufacturer of lithium batteries now. Will it compete with china ?

The US already has a bunch of lithium, the problem is mining it in an environmentally compatible way

Good news the current adminstration possibly has a way around the environment, well not around more like straight through.

It’s ok, they’ll just redesignate the mine as being outside the environment.

I saw a vid on youtube on how we mine. They do it without involving people using water. But, it's slower than using people.

Also the latest generation chemistries use less lithium. Plus it can probably be recycled too.
