Do we kinda like this guy or is he just another Elon but yet to achieve his final form ?
I think over the last 20 years enough evidence came up to support the idea that he is indeed a decent guy.
There is no such thing as a good (or likeable) billionaire. Forbes says Newell has a net worth of $9.5 billion US dollars. Imagine all the good he could do with that money (with regards to hunger, poverty, access to medicine, education) but instead he uses it to do stupid shit like this.
As far as I know he's not a Nazi like Leon so he's got that going for him I guess.
And you realize that to access that money he would have to sell valve/steam?
Which would probably quite quickly turn it shit.
His company got a bunch of kids addicted to gambling, so who can really say?
Talking about balatro or csgo?
Only one of those is even a Valve game. Counter-Strike, obviously.
Gabe is mostly good, at least as far as uber wealthy goes. Maybe some stuff I'm unaware of though
Far better than most but Valve has some controversy with gambling and CS and stuff
Sadly i'd say both can be true at once, though there are less red flags that with Elno
