MODERATORS

Update: Due to overwhelming support for defederation, we will be going through with that at 12am Moscow time (approx. 8hrs from now). Thanks to everyone who provided their feedback.

It's come to our attention that the admins of europe.pub are allowing pro-genocide rhetoric and Nazi propaganda to be freely posted on their instance.

Additionally, the main perpetrator has been promoted to moderator on the Poland@europe.pub comm where they consistently post pro-ukrainian-nazi propaganda and wish death upon the Russian people.

Due to these factors and the unwillingness of europe.pub admins to act, we are holding a vote to defederate from their instance. Please comment with either an emote or yes/no to the question: should we defederate from europe.pub?

eu-cool or "Yes" - Defederate

poland-cool or "No" - Remain federated

eu-cool I don't think I've ever seen an @europe.pub user here having good opinions, like I fairly frequently do with @lemmy.db0.com users, for example.

Isnt dbz an anarchist instance? It would explain the ideological overlap

[–] buckykat@hexbear.net 10 points 2 days ago (2 children)

More of an "anarchist" instance. The last defed discussion was regarding them, because their admins insist on being shitheads.

One of their comms temp banned a bunch of us recently for brigading when we posted flippant negative comments in a "dae hate tankies" thread.

Tbf that's just a comm but I haven't seen "Hexbear brigading" accusations since we got defedded by a bunch of instances after implementing federation in the first place

[–] buckykat@hexbear.net 10 points 2 days ago

It's always so funny when shitlibs complain about brigading. I can't even blame it on "not understanding how lemmy works" because it's directly transplanted reddit-logo behavior and reddit-logo doesn't even have instances.

I forgot about that one

I've only ever seen two of 'em. And 100% of my interactions with europub users has been met with disgust at their fascism
