All contacts on my phone are stored with their real full name including my wife, children and parents. Maybe it's my adhd but I would hate trying to find someone but can't remember how I saved their details.

I started doing this more properly when I kept finding myself with contacts like "Jim Applebee's" and "McFucker" and having zero idea who they were actually ever attached to

I also have all my contacts with full name sorted by last name. Just makes searching a contact easier, also that way you can tell Siri to call someone using their full name. You can just put in the contact details what your relationship is to that person and Siri will use that info. So you can just say to Siri “Call my wife” “Call my son” and still have them stored with their full name.

Why sorted by last name? To find supposedly related people?

I also have all people saved with first and last name, but I don't always have all first names saved (so mostly only the name they go by) and I have additional nicknames saved for some friends.

i used to do this but then i realized i should use names like "dad" & "mom" just in case something happens to me and someone tries to quickly find a relative to call.

You can stick emergency contact information on your phone. It's accessable without having to unlock it.

i know. not everyone does though.

Exactly what I did and there also is a ICE number in the contact list (number stored a second time with the real name)
