Oh wow, I didn't know there were tests for that. So cool!
The gray fur may commes from a Russian Blue, while still being considered a "domestic shorthair". That race is just a way for a vet to say "I have no idea", due to not corresponding to all the race traits, without looking like a fool. ๐
Mine was one too, here is a picture near his litter sister.
Both are domestic shorthair, but from different fathers.
