I know that there are a lot of trans people on hexbear, and I know their beliefs are sincere. What I don’t understand is how they square the fact that they would be brutally suppressed, r*****, tortured, murdered by the very groups/governments they unwaveringly love and support. It sickens me. Is it a manifestation of self-hatred? I just don’t get why they would degrade themselves like this.

All of these horrible countries want to kill all of their trans citizens (bad).

We should bomb them and kill all of their trans citizens (good).

When an egg is cracked from within it is new life bursting forth. When an egg is cracked from without, it is someone's meal.

Social progress can only come organically from within a society, from the progressive forces of that society. It cannot be imposed from without, and those who claim they are doing so are lying cynically because they wish to feast on everything within. The "white man's burden" to bring "civilizing values" to the "savages". The need to "spread democracy" and "topple authoritarian regimes" and be "welcomed as liberators". Sound familiar?

That feels like a Mao quote. Is it?

believe it's a chinese parable/expression, not specifically from Mao
