For this Special Thursday Cinema Night, we have Elephant (1989), a 1989 British short film, first produced and televised on BBC Northern Ireland, about its local elephant in the room, the Troubles. A bunch of sectarian killings, with no all context scrubbed out of place. Directed by Alan Clarke, whose output is mostly in television, but more famously produced by Danny Boyle, who may have incorporated this film’s cold documentary realistic style of this documentary into 28 Days Later (2002)

We’ll start at 5PM EST on Blorptube, right here: https://blorp.bot.nu/o/visual_cuisine

Be there, tovarishi/tongzhimen!
