Listened to some boss battle music from Expedition 33 while on my drive this morning, felt like an appropriate way to steel myself for Friday.
I still listen to some Tekken 3 tracks lol, still hypes me up after all these years.
So I was talking with Miss Seagoon about playing Expedition 33 and that I am going to buy a game controller and she said if I have a gaming computer that's better than a controller.
I would have to practice both to become adept and fast as I haven't played those kinds of games for a long time.
So controller or no?
( no would mean I could start gaming tonight )
The game is turn based and has some quick-time reaction events (click button at right time). Definitely can be done with a keyboard and mouse.
Here's the PC control layout
Looks intimidating but you're not using everything all at once.
oh wow, that's so cool. Thank you heaps. π
I enjoyed playing it with a controller, but if you're not used to a controller to start with, a keyboard is likely fine. Like Mean said, you're not using all of the buttons at once. Just learn your dodge/parry buttons! The game is good at explaining as you start. I'd say give it a whack!
The other thing that might help is turning down the difficulty setting.
It gives more leeway with reaction times for dodging and parrying.
If you didnβt want to spend extra money stick to keyboard and give it a shot then you could get a controller if it isnβt quite clicking with you on keyboard.
The music is beautiful and catchy at the same time depending on the track.
I could really get fully immersed if I cranked the volume up.
