Trump did slightly better than he did in 2020, but he still lost by a million votes, rather than two million like in 2020. I think you're maybe thinking of how New York swung the most towards Republicans more than any other state compared to previous elections.

Also New York democrats did try to gerrymander in 2020 after the census, but they fucked it up so badly that a judge struck it down then assigned an "independent" agency to redraw the map, which gave republicans 3 seats lol.

Damn, should have just done the Ohio thing where you keep sending illegal maps that get struck down until the election comes and they have no choice but to accept your massively gerrymandered map.
