  • Brush: Wald Stratos Haunter 29mm A1
  • Razor: Koraat 6/8" Full Hollow (Straight Shave 363)
  • Lather: Catie's Bubbles - Midnight Dreary - Soap
  • Post Shave: Combe Inc. - Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Thayers - Lavender - Toner

2 passes. Bowl lather. Excellent shave.

I've had this soap for quite a while but have not used it until today. Very nice! When it comes to Catie's Bubbles I tend to reach for Waterlyptus but this one is very fitting for the fall season here in the northern hemisphere. Of course, Aqua Velva does not coordinate at all but it does the job. Very nice shave today.

Nice picture. In a light box?

Just two lights that I purchased about 7 years ago. They were positioned left and right at an angle of 45° to the table's surface but along the diagonal of the image.

The camera is mounted on a horizontal boom that is parallel to the table.

Finally, I managed to bump the exposure of the image too high. Here's the corrected version where you can see more of the shadows.

Very nice! I like the soft box effect

I have a similar setup with a horizontal boom, but I'm usually too lazy to do top down shots 😅

It is tiresome with things that are reflective. I always have to make sure that the camera's reflection is not in the shot.
