NGL I’m a fan. Am I supposed to be offended? I’m not and the idea of people being offended by a sports team called “red skins” is silly.
Y’all soft as fuck.
I think people like you way too often hear the word "offended" and imagine someone feeling a deep visceral and immediate uncomfortability with something.
That's usually not what most people mean exactly, though. Imagine if literally the only time your in-group was mentioned was to stereotype them. People know of your existence but not what you're actually like because it's been clouded with centuries of stereotypes. After a whole life experiencing this over and over and over you get annoyed and want to see other, actually realistic, representations, that's what this "offense" you mention is.
I mean, hell gamers and nerds get annoyed by stuff like Big Bang Theory, and that's sooooo much more trivial.
Clearly they are offended if they went as far as demanding that their sport ball team change their name.
So yes they must be extremely offended and hurt.
Soft as fuck.
Or they've spent their entire life seeing cartoonishly stupid depictions of their people around every corner and never anything realistic, and, they reasonably, would like it to stop?
Seems like an awfully silly reason to demand your sports all team changes their logo. Just admit it. They are offended as fuck.
