Virginia Democrats are projected to win control of both of the state’s legislature bodies, according to Decision Desk HQ, dealing a major blow to Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s agenda for the remainder of his term.

Democrats won control of the House of Delegates and maintained their grip on the state Senate. Tuesday’s election results mark a reversal from two years ago, when Youngkin was elected governor and Republicans won control of the House of Delegates.

I think the right has made their bed with trump and we are going to watch this mess play out. But, say for whatever reason trump is out, he definitely might try to jump in there. I don't think he's well known though and he would struggle to get broad support.

The right has a big maga problem and they know it. If they try to go anti maga they lose a huge chunk of their base. If they go pro maga extremist they aren't going to win independents and swing voters and it's lost.

They understand trump is their only shot at a unified party. They need the white supremacist vote to even remotely stand a chance and those traitors have hitched their wagon to trump.

In subsequent elections though I think he will be a potential threat. He is an expert at appearing like a Christian family man that is eloquent and respectable. For their own sake they need to get back on track to where they run decent appearing candidates that can fool voters. In another reality he definitely would be a major threat to Biden because he's younger and appears like a decent family man. If they had their shit together they would recognize he really is their best chance. They just can't shake the maga cult extremists. They sold their soul to them to win in 16 and have been paying for it every election since.

Until they cut out that cancer, sweatervest mcdipshit isn't enough of an extremist racist to win their vote. Again make no mistake, he is an extremist racist, just not enough of one that they will back him.
