  • Brush: Yaqi Cavern Lake 24mm Tuxedo

  • Razor: Parker 510 13/16" Square Point Full Hollow

  • Lather: House of Mammoth - Smash - Soap

  • Post Shave: Fabergé - Brut - Aftershave

  • Post Shave: Thayers - Lavender - Toner

  • Talc: Pinaud Clubman

It is Mammutmittwoch so I'm bringing out the Smash. I have been making the Bourbon cocktail fairly often, using peach nectar since fresh peaches are out of season. The scent of the soap really does remind me of the drink. Nice shave this morning.

That Parker looks glorious 🤩

And now I want to make a Smash 😂 🍹

As you might imagine, the Parker shaves like it looks. It is made in Japan during the 60s and 70s, I think, but I don’t really know much about them. Forum praise is very high, though.

I urge you to try the drink of you like bourbon. I follow mammothben’s recipe but also muddle in some fresh mint when I can get it.

I follow mammothben’s recipe

Oh, is there a link?

There is a link but I copied down that recipe:

Peach Smash

1 demerara cube
1/2 ripe peach or 3/4oz peach nectar
1.5oz bourbon
0.5oz St. Germain

I muddle the the ingredients in a shaker add ice, shake, and pour. As mentioned, fresh mint is a nice addition.
