An AS-D2 as starting razor and the Stank ® as your first soap, you dove right in with the fancy stuff! ☺️

At the time, I figured that I would use that razor for the rest of my life and its cost would be insignificant when amortized over that time, and I thought I would use one blade per month, and that the soap would last about 3 or 4 months. And I already knew how to shave with a DE and could use a straight and not cut myself ... but my online research uncovered YouTube videos which contributed greatly to my descent into madness :-;

Lol, I have made this kind of argument myself numerous times.
