I'm mid-late 20s and after a hangover for 3-4 days I have this terrible taste in my mouth. It isn't like alcohol it's more like how gasoline smells, or freshly paved roads. Anyone know what that's about?
I have had this feeling and I think you need electrolytes. A lot. Try eating bacon and marmite and drinking powerade. Alternatively you can buy electrolyte drops online and add them to your water.
Could be metabolic byproducts. Alcohol breaks down into acetaldehyde, which then breaks down into acetate. Acetates are used in lots of industrial processes, so that taste might be reminding you of industrial stuff.
