C.L. Lewis blew my mind when I read this one take from him: what if like all of life is a chess game, and we are merely pawns in it... BUT we are also the player, moving ourselves around!?
I don't think that's the case, or at least there is no evidence of such, but that's not the point, the point is to imagine what might lie just beyond the box that constrains our thinking too narrowly:-).
