Yeah that shitty and part of it, but it was more. These were mainly people outside of the conflict, providing pure charity, extraordinary charity, building piers out of rubble just to get food to people.
Their deaths were explicit and well documented, with graphic photos of destruction and if you went looking, explicit photos of the murdered. They had followed ever single rule provided to them, went out of their way to still protect themselves wearing armor and moving in armored vehicles, and they were still directly and chillingly killed, while engaging in charity, by "the good guys." They even tried to call the IDF as they were bombed, the initial survivors running from vehicle to vehicle in a vain attempt at cover until they were dead.
They have a celebrity philanthropist who is grief stricken and explicitly willing to blame "the good guys" for intentionally killing them with malice, who keeps releasing new details about the killing, like the above call. They came from several nations who are allied with "the good guys," so that means heads of state get involved, and talk to each other and the press.
So yeah, its shitty they are finally getting the attention all 200 of the aid works Isreal killed deserve, but its not all just racism.
