I would say it's his finest performance. Hail, Caesar! was also good. Other than that, I feel like he's basically just playing himself over and over.

Look up Clooney's comments on that movie. Even he is aware how bad it was as it was coming out, don't recall if his contract prevented him from dipping or he hoped they'd just slide under the radar like Kilmer's movie had.

lol I love that movie for just this reason - it’s so bad it’s good and the cast is fantastic.
